What Can the New RefWorks Do?

The new RefWorks is a new way to collect, manage and organize research papers and documents.  You can read, annotate, organize, and cite your research as well as collaborate with friends and colleagues by sharing collections.

RefWorks’ drag and drop capability along with smart document recognition makes it easy and fast to upload documents and bibliographic metadata into your library and the "Save to RefWorks" feature allows you to capture research from websites with the click of a button.

Legacy vs New RefWorks

New features are being added to the new RefWorks. The legacy RefWorks and the new RefWorks will co-exist until January, 2018. At that time, all legacy RefWorks accounts will be upgraded to the new RefWorks.

How to Sign Up for a New RefWorks Account

CWRU has campus subscriptions to both the legacy and new RefWorks. When you sign up for a new RefWorks account, please enter your Case email, and a confirmation email will be sent to you. Activation of your account is required.
