Be sure to connect the USB receptor to your computer first. This is what "communicates" with the computer to advance through a PowerPoint presentation. The USB receptor is located at the end of the handle portion of the pointer on top to pull out and plug into USB port.
To turn on the laser pointer slide the button to right

Setting the timer
1.) Press the timer set button
2.) Use the arrow buttons to set the amount of time
3.) Press the timer set button to set the timer
4.) Press the play/pause button to start the timer. Press again to stop the timer
5.) A silent alarm with go off at 5, 2, and 0 minutes before timer ends
6.) To reset the alarm hold the play/pause button for 3 seconds
