Before You Scan

The scanner software only configures how the scanner scans; the physical buttons on the scanner scan the document. Here are some tips for using the scanner effectively:

  1. The largest you can scan is 8.5” wide by 99” long
  2. Remove all staples, and fan through pages to ensure they are separated
  3. You can scan both sides or only the front of each document
  4. Sort your documents by size; each size should be scanned separately
  5. The thickness of the material dictates how many you can load at a time:
    • For regular paper, the maximum is 40 pages at a time
    • For thicker paper, scan fewer sheets at a time
  6. If your documents are dirty or sticky, do not run them through the scanner
  7. Consider if this scanner is right for the job:
