LIFT, operated by the American Lightweight Materials Manufacturing Innovation Institute (ALMMII), is a public-private partnership to develop and deploy advanced lightweight materials manufacturing technologies, and implement education and training programs to prepare the workforce.
The Manufacturing USA network is operated by the interagency Advanced Manufacturing National Program Office, headquartered at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in the Department of Commerce.
The Lightweight Materials National Laboratory Consortium, or LightMAT, is a network of 10 national laboratories with technical capabilities highly relevant to lightweight materials development and utilization. LightMAT provides straightforward access to resources and capabilities in this network via a single point of contact and works to match industry research teams with expertise and equipment found only at national laboratories.
