File Conversion

This guide will show you how to change the format of various file types.

  • Find the file that you want to convert to an MP3 file. Place this in an easy to find location.
  • On the desktop, find the folder labeled Video. From there, open up TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works 6.
    • NOTE: If program is asking for you to renew license, please ask MSA at desk for assistance.

Converting to MP3

  • Click on Start New Project - Normal Mode.

  • Then select From Files ►And then open your desired .wma file. 

  • Click OK to close the screen.

  • Then Click the Format Tab.

  • Choose MPEG Audio File Output. Click Select.

  • From the dropdown menu under stream format, select either mp2 (MPEG-1 Audio Layer II) or mp3 (MPEG-1 Audio Layer III) corresponding to which file type you would like.

Finishing the Conversion

  • Click on the Encode Tab at the top, and then click Browse to find the folder you would like to save your finished file to. Once you are ready, click Start to begin the conversion. Your converted MP3 file will be at the location you chose.
