Video Capture

Welcome to the landing page for video capture, where you can find the resources you need in order to properly capture video from numerous sources, as well as view both domestic and international DVDs and VHS tapes.

Choosing the Appropriate Guide

So which guide do you need? - Lets find out!

No matter which common format of media you are using - VHS, Bluray, DVD, Laserdisk, Betamax, or Umatic, use the Video Capture Guide!

If you have a HI8 Tape to digitize, there's some special equipment involved, so make sure to check out that guide.

If you have a miniDV PAL tape to digitize, follow the guide written specifically for that.

Now if you'd rather rip a video directly from a DVD than capture it, use this guide.

If you want to capture from an internet source, make sure to follow the Internet Capture Guide

If you need to view a VHS tape, follow the guide set up just for that!

And finally, if you'd like to view an international DVD, you can find all the information you need in this guide!
