Library Instruction

These sessions can be scheduled in the library classrooms, your regular classroom, or your lab. 

Library Instruction 

  • General introduction to library resources and research process.
  • Information literacy for engineering design.
  • Collaboration in developing assignments that integrate information literacy elements or follow ABET requirements.

Special topics 

  • Sessions on a variety of topics as needed , ie. plagiarism, how to read a scientific paper, good laboratory practices, author unique identifiers (ORCID), DOI, open access, open data, etc.

Reference management tools 

  • Instruction sessions on how to use EndNote and Mendeley. Sessions for Zotero and RefWorks can be also scheduled by coordinating with my colleagues.

Measuring Scholarship Impact

  • Journals impact factor, h-index, altmetrics and ways to improve your research impact.

NIH Public Access Policy

  • Training in NIH-PA policy compliance for your graduate students.
