Rode USB Desktop Microphones at KSL

Quick overview of the desktop microphone offered by the library

Video Tutorial

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: The only cable needed for the desktop microphone is a USB cable, a USB-A end for your computer and the USB-C side to plug into the microphone.

Step 2: You want to make sure to set your device to using the microphone for audio, in Zoom for example. Also, test the microphone first to adjust any sensitivity issues.

Step 3: The base of the microphone is magnetic, so do not worry if it comes off.

Step 4: The library does not have a recording studio or any other room that can be used for recording. The microphone is intended for use outside of the library, so please check it out and use it in another location.

Step 5: You can borrow the equipment for two days before you need to return it back to the library, just like any other equipment lended by the library.
