How to Extract Audio from Video Using VLC Media

A quick tutorial for extracting audio using VLC

Step by Step Guide

Step 1: Download the "VLC Media Player" on any device (Windows, Mac, etc.) and launch the program. You can find the software file at https://www.videolan.org/

Step 2: Under 'Media' > 'Convert / Save' and click "Add" to add the video file for which you want to extract the audio, and then select the arrow button next to "Convert / Save" and click "Convert".

Step 3: Under Profile, make sure 'Audio - CD' is selected. Also, hit 'Browse' under Destination File to rename and save the file. Then hit 'Start'. 

Step 4: Once the extraction is complete, you should see it in 'Files'
