What is in the equipment kit and how to borrow.

The Kit

Located in the Tech Table, the Wacom Tablet Kit can be checked out at the Service Center.

The Drawing Tablet is a tablet that connects to the user's computer through the USB port. The tablet can be used with drawing and graphic design applications, or for note taking. Four customizable buttons can be changed to whatever computer shortcuts the user desires. The Wacom driver needs to be downloaded in order to use the tablet and buttons properly.

Lending Policies

Available for checkout to CWRU & CIM students, faculty, and staff at the Service Center. CWRU Alumni, CIA, Public or Visiting patrons are not permitted to check out loanable equipment kits. 

5 day lending period.

NO due dates on weekends & NO due dates when the Library is officially closed. 

→ Be aware of Semester breaks! While classes may be on break, the library may not!

NO renewals on equipment.

NO holds on equipment.

NO doubling up on the same equipment (ex: 2 still cameras).

→ HOWEVER, checking out different equipment is encouraged (ex: 1 video camera, 1 still camera).

NO “Can I return this and check it right back out?”s. 

NO checking out partial equipment kits.

→ Only complete equipment kits can be checked out.

Kit's Equipment

 

Wacom Intuos is perfect for on-the-go adventures with its compact size, and the drawing area is 8" long by 5" wide with 4 customizable buttons along the top. Additional stylus nibs can be found in the back compartment. 

Stylus is the drawing tool for the Wacom IntuosOnly light pressure is needed for writing or erasing. Additional stylus nibs can be found in the back compartment. 

 

 

USB → Micro USB is the connecting cable between the drawing tablet and the user's computer.
