This guide was created for the keynote speaker of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Convocation in 2022. Each year, Case Western Reserve University honors Martin Luther King, Jr.—the holiday, the man and the legacy—with a celebration that includes a range of activities including workshops, films, panel discussions and acclaimed speakers. The 2023 celebration theme is “Steadfast and Unmovable: Sustaining A Devotion to Justice.”
Nic Stone was born and raised in a suburb of Atlanta, GA, and the only thing she loves more than an adventure is a good story about one. After graduating from Spelman College, she worked extensively in teen mentoring and lived in Israel for a few years before returning to the US to write full-time.
