What is the Accepted Manuscript Version?

The Author Accepted Manuscript (AAM) is the author’s final version that incorporates changes made as a result of the peer-review process, but prior to publisher’s copy-editing, typeface, or formatting. (Also called the "accepted manuscript", "author’s final version", “author’s final manuscript,” or “post-print.”). Commonly a .DOCX or other text format.

  • Log into the journal's author portal and retrieve a copy of the accepted version or AAM

  • Contact the journal by email and ask for a copy of the accepted version of your article
