If users decline the copyright notice, the scanner will not scan. An acceptance of this copyright notice must happen before any scanning occurs. We recommend reading the notice and accepting. If you have anymore questions about copyright or are concerned, please email freedmancenter@case.edu.
Your document or book may not be within the KIC's laser. This laser recognizes materials on the scanning bed, and if not found, will prompt the user to reposition. The laser will remain on at this point. Simply move the material you want to scan so that the laser is in contact with it. Try your scan again.
