In order to be scanned, all intended scanning items will need to be in-line with the KIC's scanning laser. Place your item in the lower middle of the scanning bed as shown above to engage with the laser.
Flat Mode is ideal for documents. Two pages can be set up on either side of the scanning bed.
Books may be laid flat, and weights found at the scanner can be placed to keep the pages flat.
Alternatively, users can prop the scanning bed into a "V" for books.
