Using Assets

Add links, books, and databases as assets using the Add/Reorder dropdown (not in the free text)

Add a link asset to a guide
Link assets ensure accurate statistics, assist link checker, and help with batch updates.
The link tool helps meet accessibility requirements
Before adding a new link asset, check if it exists in the system via "Reuse Existing Link"
Add a book asset to your guide
Include ISBN (when available) to pull in metadata and cover art.
Use a book's permalink from the catalog.
Add a database from your A-Z List to a guide
Use the link from our database list for accuracy (URLs and authentication can change), and to make sure changes are updated across guides.

Using Images

Before adding images, check the Image Manager for reusable content:
Guides > Content > Image Manager

Look in the Shared Library for the Research Services folder

Another way to look for images is within the Rich Text Editor
Click on the image icon in the menu bar

Select 'browse server' and navigate to the Shared Library

Remember to add alt text for images!
