Kelvin Smith Library
Any equipment kit that is overdue will accrue a $5 fine per day, and overdue fines will max out at $30.
If kits are overdue for longer than 6 days, the borrowing patron's library account will be billed for the cost of the loaned kit. Returning the complete and undamaged kit to the Service Center will remove the billed charge. All that would remain are the overdue fines.
Located in the Tech Table, the VR Headset Kit can be checked out at the Service Center.
The VR Headset Kit is a virtual reality (VR) headset that immerses the user into total virtual content. A safety boundary is created upon starting the headset so take care to follow those guidelines closely. Users will not be able to see the physical environment around them while wearing the headset. If you get close to edge of the safety boundary or leave the boundary entirely, the headset will alert the user and engage Passthrough, the ability to see the outside world.
