Open Scholarship and Open Access

Making Scholarship Open

There are multiple ways to participate in open scholarship practices and many are supported by the KSL Library:

OA Publishing: Peer-Reviewed Articles

Looking to publish in an Open Access Journal? To find a suitable, trusted OA journal, you can try the following:

OA Beyond Articles

There are many ways to participate in open practices beyond publishing a journal article OA. You can also make other aspects of your work and research open, including books, methods, open educational resources, data, and more.

Can I make my research open after signing a publisher agreement?

Even if your work was previously published, you may still be able to post it to make it openly available, including through a repository like Scholarly Commons @ CWRU. KSL staff can consult with authors and research rights with you to make a determination. If you have a contract with your publisher, check to see what it permits or check Sherpa Romeo. If you have questions or need guidance, please contact digitalcommons@case.edu and a librarian will work with you to review rights.
