Technical Standards

One of the ABET requirements states that Criterion 5. Curriculum
“Students must be prepared for engineering Students must be prepared for engineering practice through a curriculum culminating in a major design experience based on the knowledge and skills acquired in earlier course work and incorporating appropriate engineering standards and multiple realistic constraints.”

The United States Standards Strategy recognizes the need for standards education programs as a high priority and recommends initiatives that address the significance and value of standards.
