MLA-L

Music Library Association
The Music Library Association is the professional association for music libraries and librarianship in the United States. Its online discussion list, MLA-L, can be a helpful forum for posting music-related reference questions. Users must subscribe to the list in order to post.

Subscribe to MLA-L using one of two methods:
1. Send e-mail to mla-l-subscribe@indiana.edu, OR
2. Write to the list owners (mla-l-request@indiana.edu) with a request to be added.

Once you have confirmed your subscription, send a message to the list: mla-l@indiana.edu

IAML

International Association of Music Libraries, Archives and Documentation Centres
As its name implies, this group includes members from countries around the world. Many music librarians are members of MLA and IAML, but each organization maintains its own mailing list.

Subscribe to IAML-L by sending a message to iaml-l-request@cornell.edu. The message subject line should be 'join', and the body of the message should be left blank.
