CWRU Open Access Agreements and Other Funding

CWRU authors are able to publish open access at no cost in select journals through agreements with several publishers. This guide provides details on each agreement for CWRU authors as well as alternative no cost options and funding possibilities..

Agreement Details

CWRU student, faculty, and staff authors can publish journal articles open access (OA) without paying any Article Publication Charge (APC) in all Cambridge University Press journals (both hybrid and fully OA journals).

To be eligible for OA coverage:

  • Corresponding author (CA) must be affiliated with CWRU at acceptance and provide their CWRU affiliation with the publisher during submission process
  • Article must be accepted for publication between January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2027
  • Article must be a research article, reviews article, rapid communications, brief reports, and case report. Other article types are not eligible for coverage
